CAMILLA
DRAGON OF MANY MOODS

Camilla is a Chameleon Dragon, or a Rainbow Dragon.
Her colors, and her moods, change as frequently as my own.
She is at that stage in her life, a couple of thousand years old,
when she finds herself moody and irritable for no reason,
or restless,
or unaccountably at peace.
Her family at times find her difficult to live with,
but love will certainly carry all through the portal into whatever lies beyond.

.

Camilla the dragon is my alter-ego,
representing
the depths of my inner self:
strength, courage, wisdom, and compassion.
She is also, as is noted above, sometimes prone to fits of irrational temper.

Amethyst Dragonfly is symbolic of my spirit:
ever searching for growth, always questioning, flying onward. She cannot be held down or made to sit still for too long. Amethyst has a flippant sense of humor, and often reminds Camilla not to take herself too seriously.

Myrtle represents the reclusive,
insecure, anxious side of me.
Her purpose in my life is to provide me with a retreat to rest, regroup, & rejuvenate, so that I can reenter life in a renewed spirit.

.

This union of heart, soul, and spirit provides a balance for the rich journeys ahead.

All of us tend toward flights of imagination and fantasy, and we write:
poetry, journals, stories.
Come fly with us as we seek increased knowledge, spiritual depth, harmony, and unity,
for the journey within is also most assuredly the journey outward.

"Modern investigators of miraculous history have solemnly admitted that a characteristic of the great saints is their power of 'levitation.' They might go further; a characteristic of the great saints is their power of levity. Angels can fly because they can take themselves lightly." (GKChestorton, "Orthodoxy", p221)
